Hey there! My name is Meghan and I am from New Hampshire! I am a long way from home as a sophomore at Berea College in Berea, KY. I am a biology nerd but am unsure if I want to pursue graduate school or medical school. My favorite hobby is to eat. I am a runner and always will be. I love being outdoors and taking care of standardbred race horses. I absolutely love to travel and am really excited to be in Chicago for the summer!

The tallgrass prairie ecosystem – a vast landscape of grasses and wildflowers – once dominated the Midwest. However, it’s now one of the most endangered ecosystems in North America. Ecological restoration is the only way to gain new prairie habitat, but restoring a diverse and fully functioning prairie is difficult.
