My work this summer is with Botanic Gardens Conservation International, a non-profit organization that aims to mobilize botanic gardens around the world to help protect plant diversity.

The tallgrass prairie ecosystem – a vast landscape of grasses and wildflowers – once dominated the Midwest. However, it’s now one of the most endangered ecosystems in North America.
